Tax included.
When casting epoxy you need a mold, a mixing cup, a mixing stick, colors/pigment/powder and protection. And maybe a scale to measure the mixing ratio. Sometimes it can be advantageous to use wax and release agent to ensure that the epoxy releases from the mold.
The mixing cup is made of sturdy polypropylene and can be used multiple times. Most types of epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, silicone compounds, etc. can be removed from the cup, but they can also be reused even with leftover epoxy by mixing by weight.
Release wax is applied to surfaces where you do not want the epoxy to stick, for example at the bottom of wooden, plastic or metal molds. Spray wax RW4 is fine for easy application, but should be applied in 3 coats with 10min drying time in between. Wax can be left as is to get a lightly patterned effect in the mold, or polished to get a glossy result. If you have rougher surfaces like wood or are going to polish RW4 spray wax, you should have at least 5 coats.
After the epoxy you have mixed in the cup has hardened, the epoxy can often be removed from the cup and reused, if you have mixed it well. Read our tips for mixing epoxy .
