Starter kit for making a great modern utility knife based on the popular design of Casström SFK.
Making a knife is a very rewarding craft project. It's also a great feeling to use a knife you've made yourself, or even more rewarding to be able to give a handmade knife as a gift!
Sleipner is a rust-resistant steel from Uddeholm, but is not by definition stainless, it is tough and durable in use. 14C28N is a stainless steel that was developed by Sandvik for Kershaw, but is now available to several manufacturers. It is easy to sharpen, and has a good balance between maintenance, edge retention and rust resistance.
