Epifane's two-component clear coat of polyurethane provides a durable surface for your table or kitchen bench project. When you need a durable surface with a good filter for ultraviolet light. The UV filter prevents the surface from turning yellow from the sun's UV light. It is always an advantage to add a layer of this polyester and polyurethane varnish if you have a surface that should be durable and protect against yellowing.
Can be used both indoors and outdoors.
- Make sure that what is to be painted is sanded, cleaned and degreased.
- The varnish is mixed with 1 part hardener component B and 2 parts base component A.
- Mix well, but try to avoid bubbles, and leave for 20-30 minutes before use
- Open time 2-6 hours depending on temperature, 3-4 hours at 20 degrees.
- Room temperature should be between 15 and 27 degrees.
- The surface is dust-dry after 2 hours at 20 degrees. Sanding between coats is not required as long as no more than 48 hours pass between coats. A new coat is applied after 24 hours at the earliest, and the varnish is fully cured after 7 days. The times are temperature dependent and lower temperatures will extend the time.
- Apply the varnish in thin layers so that it does not run.
- 750 grams covers approximately 9 square metres.
Can be advantageously thinned with this Epifanes thinner for 2-component varnish before application with a foam brush , paint brush or roller.
