Raffir Calceon™ is an original innovation from Raffir, combining natural limestone formations with partially bio-based resin in a series of beautiful hues. This hybrid material derives its unique texture from lime deposits formed over hundreds of years in mineral-rich freshwater springs. As the vegetation surrounding these springs slowly disappears, it leaves behind organic structures, giving each piece of Raffir Calceon™ its own unique expression. Originating deep underwater, each piece carries a story of nature’s slow and beautiful formation process.

Sold as blocks of 30x40x120mm, or in sets of matching plates of 8x40x120mm
Sustainability in focus
Raffir Calceon™ is more than just a beautiful material. Using modern technology, Raffir has managed to replace almost a third of the resin with bio-based alternatives, without compromising on quality. The unique stabilization process combines the natural structure of limestone with the resin, which gives the material strength and heat resistance, making it a sustainable choice for the environmentally conscious craftsman.
Colors and processing
Available in five tones – Deep Black, Ocean Blue, Caramel Brown, Ruby Red and Forest Green – Raffir Calceon™ brings flexibility and variety to any project. With a Mohs hardness of 3 and a Shore D hardness of 90 in the resin, the material can be easily worked with common wood and metal tools. The specially developed resin also makes it highly polishable, providing a beautiful shine and durability.
